Ed Woodward resigns from Man United following Super League backlash

Mirror reports that Woodward will stay on until the end of the season.

Manchester United executive-vice chairman Ed Woodward has resigned from his position at the club following the backlash over the European Super League.

The news comes as other clubs who moved to breakaway to form the European Super League, like Chelsea and Manchester City withdrew.

Several clubs who moved to form the breakaway European Super League have now followed suit including United, Arsenal, Spurs, AC Milan and Inter.

While there is no official confirmation from the football club at the time of filing this report, Mirror reports that Woodward will stay on until the end of the season.
