Many doctors are fleeing the country to escape hardship, poor pay, difficult working conditions, and unemployment.
This appeal was made during the launch of the WASH Sector-wide Sustainability Checks Action Plan and Sustainability Compact in Abuja.
“The recent global health crises have underscored the importance of proactive measures to prevent, detect, and respond to emerging health threats.’’
Dr Ayuk said the state is having challenges in terms of healthcare centres.
“It is our belief that economic challenges should not hinder people’s access to quality healthcare.’’
“Safeguarding mental health has become more crucial for individuals in Nigeria due to the difficulties posed by the current state of the economy.”
She called on members of the public in possession of the product to discontinue sale or use and submit stock to the nearest NAFDAC office.
He said that the absence of such a national registry impeded national planning efforts in the fight against the disease.
She said that discrimination contributes to poor maternal health, even in better-off countries.
“Twenty-five states recorded at least one confirmed case across 125 local government areas in 2024.’’
